25 years of Spectroscopic Ellipsometry in HORIBA Scientific

HORIBA Scientific is proud to celebrate 25 years serving the spectroscopic ellipsometry community.

Developed with the collaboration of Ecole Polytechnique, HORIBA Scientific introduced the Phase Modulation Ellipsometry technology in 1989 with the launch of the UVISEL ellipsometer. These spectroscopic ellipsometers remain the most sensitive and accurate on the market with capability to characterize advanced optical and material properties. HORIBA Scientific received two awards for our Phase Modulated Spectroscopic Ellipsometer : One from the French Society of Physics in 1992, and one from the French National Research Centre (CNRS) in 1996.

We have enhanced the original technology, and now we offer the next generation of scientific spectroscopic ellipsometer. UVISEL 2 is designed to provide the greatest number of features, and the highest level of performance for nano and micro layer characterization.
